Martijn Pierik - Chief Executive Officer
Martijn has a degree in International Marketing & Management from Hanze Polytechnic University in Groningen, The Netherlands. Before forming Impress in 2005, Martijn spent nine years working for Silicon Valley's first PR agency for the semiconductor industry - Mathews & Clark Communications - and its successor agency, Positio Public Relations, where he managed the agency's day-to-day operations and client services. In 2006 Impress merged with San Francisco-based PR agency Elev8 Public Relations to combine resources and allow for continued growth. Martijn is based in our Phoenix, AZ office.

Dave Richardson - President
Dave majored in Marketing Communications at Leeds Metropolitan University in Leeds, UK. Upon graduation, he joined a London-based publication known as Semiconductor Fabtech, where he eventually became Publication Manager. Exchanging London for Silicon Valley, Dave joined Positio Public Relations in 2000. In September 2003 he founded elev8 Public Relations, which merged with Impress Public Relations in 2006. During his 11 years in the semiconductor industry, Dave has worked with a broad range of clients in several industry sectors. He heads up our San Francisco office.

Mark Button - Senior Vice President
Mark has over 15 years of experience in public relations and marketing communications and joined Impress PR in February 2007, following three years at Positio PR. Prior to joining Positio, Mark was a PR practitioner in London, specializing in B2B, mobile technology and communications, telecommunications, internet service providers and consumer electronics. Mark hails from Doncaster, UK and holds a BA (Hons) degree in Public Relations Studies from the respected PR course at Leeds Metropolitan University. He oversees our operations in Portland, OR.

Amy Smith, Senior Account Director
Amy began her public relations career with Positio and quickly progressed from a junior position to corporate management with responsibility for a wide range of semiconductor clients. In 2001 Amy joined New Vision Systems, a semiconductor advanced process control software company, where she was responsible for corporate and product public and media relations, collateral materials, trade shows, the company's website, and some aspects of product management. In 2004 Amy joined elev8 Public Relations as a principal and moved to Impress Public Relations when the companies merged in 2006.

Kelly Smith Bramlett - Director, Creative Services
Kelly holds a degree in Business Management from Arizona State University. She has extensive agency experience ranging from campaign development, account planning, advertising, media planning/buying, website development, print and multimedia development, video production and tradeshow branding. In 2002, Kelly formed Smithco Marketing + Communications, Inc., a full-service B2B creative agency serving clients in the semiconductor, energy and service industries. In 2008, Smithco was acquired by Impress Public Relations, which now offers integrated creative and PR services together as one company. Kelly is based in our Phoenix headquarters.

Richard Kerns - Director, European Operations
Richard came to Impress in May 2008 and brings over 20 years experience in PR and marketing, both in-house and in business-to-business agency positions. He entered the fine chemicals market over 15 years ago, while supporting ICI Specialties during its transition into Zeneca. In 1995, he established Northern Exposure PR with a client base focused on the fine chemicals and biotech markets. Kerns is very well known in the biotech sector, having supported a number of companies, including SAFC, Zeneca Laporte, ChiroTech, Dow, Peakdale, Synetix Great Lakes, Excelsyn and Codexis. He also handled media relations for CMPi on its CPhI, P-MEC and ICSE group of exhibitions, plus InformexUSA and InformexChina.

Ina Chu - Director of Client Service, Asia-Pacific Region
Ina joined Impress in early 2008 and is responsible for client services in China and Taiwan and agency partner relations in Korea and Japan. She brings a considerable amount of high-tech and cultural experience into the agency, gained from both academic training and professional development. A native of Taiwan, Ina held a number of PR and marketing positions at Taiwan Cellular Corp and came to the US to get her Masters degree in marketing. While located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Ina spends a considerable portion of her time in the Asia Pacific region to ensure Impress' clients get the best service possible.
